A CUP OF JOY ANYTIME OF THE DAY
Coffee Tasting at Arbol Verde Ecolodge Coming Soon!
Not only will our guests have the enjoyment of a cup of Las Dueñas Coffee every morning but we will be hosting a regular Coffee Tasting event at the lodge where you can meet the owners of Las Dueñas and enjoy 100% high altitude artisanal arabica coffee, freshly roasted with a smooth balanced profile. This is a chance to not only taste their coffee but to purchase freshly ground coffee directly from them.
The finca (coffee farm) is located near San Vito, Coto Brus, on the slopes of the Talamanca mountain range, at an altitude of 4,101 feet (1,250 meters). The altitude, the soil of volcanic origin, a dry season and a rainy season and very uniform temperatures throughout the year create unique and ideal conditions for the development of the coffee plants. The coffee is processed daily in a micro-mill, through a natural process of semi-washing and sundrying in beds or patios. The grain dries along with the mucilage and absorbs the sugars from the fruit.
My husband and I needed a vacation from the hustle and bustle of city life. Boy did we get it here at Eden’s Nest. The jungalows are newly renovated and were very clean and comfortable! Being up “in the trees” gave us a feeling of privacy only shared with the occasional monkeys swinging by, the toucans singing to each other and the rustling of trees all around us. We enjoyed having an a/c to keep us cool and a little kitchenette to prepare meals. We sat on the porch and enjoyed reading and observing the birds and monkeys. Carlo greeted us when we arrived and showed us to our jungalow explaining all that we needed to know. He told us about some fun things to do like white water rafting at Rafiki. That was a wonderful experience and well worth the money spent. We also went on a mangrove kayaking tour and learned so much about the native birds of Costa Rica. We enjoyed a gorgeous sunset at Hotel three sixty restaurant and bar as well as live music at the Bamboo Lounge. Both are located near Edens Nest. We went on many hikes which led to some incredible waterfalls. And, after getting our clothes dirty from all the hiking, Tineka was so kind to wash our clothes for us! On our last night at Edens Nest we made a campfire and looked up to the sky to see a gazillion stars! We highly recommend this place! Carlo and Tineka were great hosts, giving us the space we needed but available to help us at any time! Plan your stay in Costa Rica here.....you won’t regret it!

The property was amazing. The view was phenomenal, you are out in the middle of the jungle so you get the full experience but at the same time their grounds keeper keeps the area very very well managed he rakes and sweeps everyday and makes sure to chase off any spider webs that pop up over night. We saw almost everything we went and paid lots of money to see with a guide and more just sitting and hanging out. The owners and their lovely JESSICA! Made the stay even better. They were so helpful and caring. They even booked us last minute excursions and got us discounts. Great place amazing people

Magic place, literally in the middle of the jungle but with all the modern conform. It's an incredible experience to sleep with noises from this amazing environment and feel safe at the same time. The room is super equipped, the decoration is enchanting and the mattress is really comfortable. Actually everything is brand new and well thought. Moreover, Carlo and Tineka are the nicest couple we have ever met. My wife and I were unlucky because our luggage was lost by Air Canada and we had a trouble with our car at the same time. Carlo and Tineka helped us to fix all those problems. They took care of us as we were a part of their family. Because of them (and even if we were a bit unlucky) we keep a great memory of our staying here. Great experience at the heart of nature!!! Thanks for everything! Wish be back soon.

We really appreciated the friendly, family oriented hospitality, and they gave us the best location within the villas available. The quiet surroundings and the forest around are beautiful making this place peaceful. This place is clean and well maintained, and the host were very dedicated to make our stay as best as possible.

Our family of four enjoyed five days and 4 nights here before going to the Osa Peninsula. Carlo toured us beyond the tourist routes up into the mountains where we visited a farm and shared the morning with a beautiful and generous Costa Rican family. So many surprises! We ate in the market in San Isidro then Carlo drove us further into the mountains where we hiked to stunning waterfalls. The entire day enlightened our family about the customs and culture of this gorgeous country. For our final morning, we are mixing smoothies using the fruits and coconut waters we have been given in our travels. Then we'll enjoy our fresh breakfast on the balcony of our jungalow while listening to the sounds of this serene place. We gave each of our children their own jungalow so they could read, write, and have peace. Hope to come back some day with friends! This trip was our first impression of Costa Rica and our expectations have been exceeded! Yes---we did do a tourist day of ziplining...so fun!!!
